"EXTRA CREDIT"

1. Explain what happened to the man that was killed by the subway and how the photographer was able to take the photo.
 

 >A man who was run over by a New York subway train after being shoved onto the tracks by an unidentified assailant.The photographer took out his camera and snapped pictures of the man final moments to alert the coming train's driver.

2. Why did the photographer say he took the photo?

>To alert the coming train's driver.
3. Do you think the photographer should have taken the photo?

>No because if he would have helped him first maybe the man was still alive. 
4. Do you think the photographer did the best thing he could have done in this situation? 

 >No because maybe the police could say that he killed the man. 
5. Do you agree or disagree with the decision to run the photo on the front page of the New York Post? 

>Disagree!! in my opinion that wasn't too big to put it in from of the page of the News paper.

6. What is more important to a photojournalist, capturing images of life as it happens or stopping bad things from happening? 

>I think the priority should be stopping bad things and then take images.

7. Do you think it is ever ethically acceptable for a photographer to involve himself/herself in a situation that he or she photographs? 
> I think not always 


8. Should photojournalists always avoid influencing events as they happen?
> I think so, its benefits them.

9. After reading the responses from the professional photographers, what stands out as the most appropriate response for a photographer to this situation.

>I think the best response for this was Bethany Swain because its really true that we are humans first and then photographers.
