Composition, Lenses and photography terms

I would use telephoto lens to take a picture that is to far and you want it closer (zoom).
I would use a prime lens to something that is really close to us because the lens doesn't have to much zoom.
I would use a wide-angle lens to take pictures on the beach because you can take more part of the scene.

Definitions

Depth of field- the range of distances along the axis of an optical instrument, usually a camera lens, through which an object produce a relatively distinct image.
This relates with the photo and the shutter speed because you cannot distinguish very small degrees of unsharpeness.

Light- its important because if the place have too much light the photo will be to bright and if the place its doesn't have too much light the photo will be to dark.

Shadows-Light can bring out the brightness of a color and shadow can shade the spots of the picture that are being blocked from the light.

Diffusion-make the photo look more soft (smooth)

Aperture (F-stop)- how big the lens its going to open.

Shutter speed- how fast the lens is going to open and close

Iso- the photo doesn't look sharpened
